MINISTRIES


Music
Cornerstone has long been noted for using music as in integral part of our church culture and a vital part of every service. Recognizing that our congregation has varied individual musical tastes, the ministry strives to include a representational mixture of many different styles. Congregational singing of traditional hymns as well as contemporary Praise and Worship is supported by a live praise band. Individuals express their gifts in by providing special music with solos, groups, and choirs. The ministry also provides several musical concerts each year that often include nationally recognized musical groups and recording artists.

Youth Ministries
The Cornerstone Youth Group is an exciting and growing ministry for young people in grades seven through twelve. The Edge, our Sunday evening services is a wonderful time of praise and worship, prayer, and time in God's Word to encourage growth and connection to the Lord. Reality 2:17, our Wednesday evening service, incorporates games and devotional time. The youth group is very active and involved in trips, retreats, fellowhip and missions. The vision of CYG is to let teens know that they do have a purpose and to equip them with the tools necessary to accomplish the will of God in their lives.

Childrens Ministry
At Cornerstone, we believe that properly caring for and ministering to children is vital for the spiritual health and growth of the church. We have something interesting and exciting to the children available at each and every service, and as children mature, we strive to teach them Biblical principles and Christian values. By providing child-care and children's services we allow parents to be fully involved in our services, and give the children an opportunity to enjoy the experience of coming to Church. Kidz Church and Pre- Teen worship gives the children their own services and provide for opportunities to have fun and fellowship in outside activities as well.

Sunday School
Our Sunday School program is designed to meet the spiritual needs of the church while providing a means for fellowship to those who attend. Classes are arraged for children by age or grade, while adults have a variety of choices in topics and instructional formats. The small classes allow for relationships to build within the larger church community. Families and individuals realize support from others who have similar interest and concerns.

Family Ministries
Cornerstone Family Ministries has an objective to provide opportunities for spiritiual growth through fellowship to all ages. From holiday dinners to afterglows, cruises to camping, these events provide opportunities to get to know one another and develop life-long relationships with a purpose: to edify one another.

Ladies Christian Fellowhip
Meeting monthly, Ladies Christian Fellowship has a four-fold purpose: -to develop a sense of sisterhood through fellowship and love;
-to grow through spiritual and service experiences; -to nurture the young and hurting; and
-to use our God-given gifts for His glory.
This mission is accomplished in a variety of ways, including Bible study, special speakers, mission projects, retreats and visitation.

Men's Christian Fellowship
The men's fellowship at Cornerstone has the objective of providing teaching and encouragement to the men of the church. It is our desire to challenge ourselves to become better husbands, fathers and sons, and to find our "station" in the church body in service to Christ. We schedule monthly meetings and other events and activities and equip each other to do the will of God.

Servant Evangelism
Servant Evangelism is a simple, straightforward approach to sharing God's love in practical ways. It is our vision to reach the world by serving others with no strings attached. Washing cars, delivering newspapers, carrying out groceries and other acts of kindess are some of the simple ways we can serve the community while displaying the love of Christ. Ten percent of Christians have the spiritual gift of evangelism, but 90 percent have the gift of serving. By displaying God's love in the community, we have an opportunity to share Christ in a non-threatening and welcomed manner and thus "fulfilling the Law of God".

Commitment and Prayer Counseling
The primary role of this ministy is to pray with people and support them in their prayer needs. Our goal is to assist you in finding a resolution in your personal situation and lead you to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Drama Ministries
It is the mission of the Cornerstone Players to bring the Scriptures alive through drama. We believe that what can be seen through the eyes leaves a lasting and relevant impression on the soul. It is our prayer that through the efforts of the Drama Department, hearts can be touched and worship enhanced. Whether a passionate play, or a short skit with a message, all is done for the Glory of God and to minister to the body.
